I’m an Adobe Certified Professional in Flex:
I’m currently contracting for Adobe consulting doing exciting things with the Flex framework. I’m not at liberty to say what we get up to, but it’s cutting edge and jolly good fun.
I might be available for contract positions later this year, after I go to Spain for a while to learn more Spanish :D
My cv is availabe on request: george j cook at google mail dot com .
I’ve been doing RIA’s for the last 3 years, and in that time I’ve played with video on red5, and flash com server, ruby on rails, java, tomcat, mysql, oracle and sql server, flash and Flex 2 and Live Cycle Data Services.
I’m bang into Flex 2 and LCDS at the mo, and looking to keep working and growing in these technologies.
Here’s a selection of sites I made when I was freelancing:
Visualchat.co.uk
This is a healthy chat community – written in .net, sql server and flashcom. I’ve rewritten this in rails, mysql and red5 media server – it’ll be migrating very soon!
And for the doubters, the new rails/red5/mysql version is faster than the current .NET/flashcom version, and also means we can move to a linux server, capistrano here we come – woohoo!
Listen2Listings.com
Gig listings you can, erm.. listen too! This rails site allows bands and promoters to upload their gigs, and a demo of what they sound like. Punters can search using geographical and date searches, lots of ajax here, includes flyer generation too :-)
hamfatter.net
I love the band hamfatter, if you don’t know who they are, check out this rails site, and also see if you can top Eoin’s score in pacman, or watch one of their vids on their TV.
